The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) informs stakeholders that the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is rescheduling the external launch of its CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) Release 2 initiative until October 2024 to account for potential CBSA labour action that could affect their ability to support partners as they start using CARM.

The LDB will continue its work to upgrade its customs clearance systems in preparation of the transition to CARM Release 2, and will reach out to stakeholders with next steps. Additional communication to Custom Bonded Warehouses, Customs Brokers, and Import Beer Agents will follow on any Release 2 specific readiness matters.
