As you may be aware, a tentative agreement has been reached between the bargaining group representing port workers in British Columbia and their employer, ending the job action which began on July 1, 2023.
The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) recognizes this news is important to our customers and agents.
While there was a temporary disruption to import clearances during the recent job action, there were no significant impacts on inventory levels to this point.
We will continue to monitor the situation and work closely with third party warehouses and freight forwarders to determine the timeline for resumption of import clearances.
