Service update - resumption of LDB Wholesale distribution

The BC Liquor Distribution Branch’s (LDB’s) distribution centres and wholesale customer centres have completed all orders scheduled to ship prior to October 19, and the Wholesale Customer Centre (WCC) will inform customers when their order has been shipped.

We thank our customers for their continued patience as we remain about a week behind due to a continuation of higher than predicted volume which has impacted our progress. We are working additional shifts and overtime to assemble and ship the high volume of orders received.

Due to the continued high order volume, combined with the resumption of seasonal promotions this month that will add to the order volume, we estimate it will take another two weeks before service levels and delivery timelines return to normal. We will continue to work with vendors on order placement and replenishment of all stocked wholesale products into our distribution centres.

No ETAs or Delivery Windows:

Due to the continued higher than expected volume we will need to continue to deliver outside of normal delivery windows and we are unable to provide delivery windows or ETAs for deliveries. We will advise when we return to standard service.

The WCC will notify customers once an order has been shipped from the distribution centre. We kindly ask that customers do not contact the distribution centres, please direct all inquiries to WCC at wholesalehelp@bcldb.com or call 604-775-0681 or 1-888-775-0681. We thank our customers for their continued patience and flexibility.

Non-stocked Wholesale Product Delays:

While we are attempting to receive and deliver non-stocked wholesale product (NSWP) as soon as possible, due to the high volume of NSWPs, the order-to-ship date timeline for product stored in B.C. is currently taking up to four weeks. Please note that this does not include transportation time as it varies by customer and geographic location.

The distribution centre is continuing to work closely with third-party warehouses to incorporate inbound non-stock wholesale product (NSWP) in an effective and efficient manner while balancing inventory in the distribution centres. During this time, we have:

  • Extended the cancellation period to ensure customers with outstanding NSWP orders receive their product.
  • Continued to work in partnership with our vendors, agents and third-party warehouses to investigate any NSWP on outstanding purchase orders (POs).

We appreciate your continued patience, support and flexibility.
