Wholesale Price Management Launch and Onboarding for Vendors

BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) Liquor Wholesale Operations is launching a self-service online Wholesale Price Management (WPM) application for agents, manufacturers and suppliers that will allow vendors to make changes to their products’ wholesale prices in a more efficient manner, giving them an average of nine additional days to plan their price changes, enabling them to be more responsive to market demands. Please note that WPM is for wholesale price changes only and retail pricing processes and schedules will stay as they are today.

We are pleased to share that the WPM project team and the participating group of select vendors who have been working together throughout the project development successfully completed a pilot during pricing period 6. Pilot participants expressed that WPM is a streamlined and intuitive user-friendly portal that simplifies the submission process overall and gives them the flexibility to plan their price changes and promotions in advance.

WPM is a self-service application that provides vendors with:

  • Flexibility: Plan out price changes and promotions in advance, submit immediately or save drafts for later. Bulk upload large requests.
  • Transparency: View a price change request status online as well as price and price request history (e.g. price changes and Wholesale Price Promotions).
  • Automatic notifications: Immediately validate errors and warnings. WPM generates automated email notification for confirmations and required actions.

LDB Wholesale Operations will be emailing all agents, manufacturers and suppliers with details on the onboarding process and the required steps to complete before the WPM application is made available to onboarded users on September 3, 2024.
