The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is introducing two key updates to the Product Activity Report (PAR) to enhance inventory visibility and sales accuracy for import agents and domestic suppliers. These improvements will provide better insights into stock availability and sales performance, supporting more informed decision-making.
What’s Changing?
Soft Reserve Inventory Now Included in PAR
Soft reserve inventory refers to stock at the LDB distribution center (DC) that is not yet committed to an order and is unavailable for wholesale customers to purchase. By adding this information to the PAR, agents and suppliers will have greater visibility into product availability and the ability to proactively manage agent inventory in the LDB DC.
- Soft reserve can be removed by a Wholesale Demand Planner at the request of an agent or supplier.
- Products under soft reserve may also be allocated by submitting a wholesale cross-dock allocation form.

More Accurate Sales Reporting – Internal Sales Order (ISO) Transfers Adjustment
To enhance the accuracy of sales reporting, ISO transfers—occasional inventory movements between LDB distribution centers—will no longer be reflected as sales in the PAR report. This update ensures that the sales data aligns with actual transactions to wholesale customers, providing:
- More precise sales data for vendors.
- Improved forecasting and planning.
Together, these two adjustments will help vendors make informed business decisions based on actual sales activity.
