Due to the seasonal increase in shipping volumes and our existing space constraints, the LDB’s Vancouver Warehouse is experiencing delays in receiving product. This will impact the timing of the availability of products and may cause a delay in the delivery of some products.
Customers are encouraged to use the inventory visibility tool in Web Store to find out when a product becomes available. Agents also play an imperative role in ensuring products are available in our third-party warehouses so we encourage our customers to utilize this tool and to work in close collaboration with their agents as well.
Compared to the same quarter last year, we are already seeing a 12% increase in shipping volumes. We also see a spike in the number of cases shipped each December. For example, we saw 50% more cases shipped in the month of December 2016 than we did in November 2016.
We understand and appreciate the importance of sales at this busy time of year, and we assure you we are taking all steps possible to minimize the impact to you. This includes having our distribution centre operating six days a week so we can add additional appointments for incoming shipments and try to manage volume.
