We recognize the news of the 72-hour strike notice announced by the BC General Employees’ Union (BCGEU) continues to be concerning for customers, vendors and industry partners.   

It is entirely up to the BCGEU what form the strike action will take and when it will be initiated.   

Bargaining is a dynamic process and while we do not know the extent of any possible job action, the BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) will continue to take steps to deliver our services and minimize any immediate impacts to customers and industry partners.   

This includes continuing to maintain operations to the best of our ability during this time and providing timely updates to stakeholders.  

Please be aware that now 72 hours has passed, job action can be called at anytime. We commit to providing updates to industry impacts as they become known and important notices will be posted here on the LDB Wholesale Operations website at wholesale.bcldb.com.
