Information for Vendors: Kamloops DC Warehouse Management System Upgrade

To: Vendors, Suppliers and Third Party Warehouses servicing Kamloops Distribution Centre

The Kamloops Distribution Centre (KDC) will be upgrading to the new warehouse management system February 27 – March 1. The upgrade is the culmination of a multi-year modernization initiative undertaken by the BC Liquor Distribution Branch.  Due to the system upgrade there are some considerations to note to ensure a seamless transition to the new system.

What this means to you:

  • Receiving restrictions:
    • Receiving blackout from February 26 – 28
    • Reduced receiving March 2 – 6, limited to six to eight trucks per day
  • No RTVs or ISOs can be requested or processed between Feb 21 and Mar 2. RTVs and ISOs will resume as per normal from March 3. Replenishment for out of stock KDC products will take place from the DDC if and where necessary
  • There will be a new driver release form as part of the receiving process starting March 2, which aligns to the form currently used for receiving at the Delta Distribution Centre
