As you may be aware, bargaining groups representing federal public servants, including those at the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), initiated job action today, Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) recognizes this news may be concerning to our customers and agents. The CBSA has advised that it is expected that CBSA services to travellers and businesses will be maintained.
We appreciate your patience while we monitor the situation and work closely with the CBSA, third party warehouses and freight forwarders to determine if there are any potential delays on import clearances.
We will provide updates on potential impacts as they become known and important notices will be posted on the LDB Wholesale Operations website at wholesale.bcldb.com.
