On June 5, the Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) temporarily authorized hospitality licensees who had temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic to sell their liquor stock to other hospitality licensees who remained operational and/or Licensee Retail Stores.
After discussion with industry stakeholders, the LDB will let this policy expire on July 15, 2020, as originally planned. This policy initiative was in response to provide urgent support for B.C.’s licensed establishments impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. LDB will continue to review and assess other actions to support the industry as needed.
