Further to our announcement on March 13, 2024, the BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) has completed steps to ensure wholesale prices reflect the two per cent increase to the excise duty rate by April 1, 2024. The wholesale and hospitality price lists for Period 1 are now available on the LDB vendor website.
To provide vendors and suppliers the opportunity to make Period 2 wholesale price changes as a result of the adjusted two per cent increase to the excise duty rate, the LDB is extending the price change and WPP submission deadline for Period 2 to 5 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2024 (originally Friday, March 15).
Please note, the wholesale pricing publish date for Period 2 will now be April 8, 2024, which is also when the wholesale and hospitality price lists for Period 2 will be available.
Period 2 effective date remains April 28, 2024, as per the LDB Financial Calendar.
The LDB’s pricing calculators have been updated and available for use to reflect the two percent increase to the excise duty rate. The pricing calculators can be found on the Pricing information tab on the vendor website (https://vendor.bcldb.com).
The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has posted the updated rates on their website and are available for reference through the following links.
