Kamloops Distribution Centre (KDC) customers
The Coquihalla Highway (Highway 5) reopened today between Hope and Merritt to essential commercial traffic only and provides another route for our carriers to transport products between our distribution centres and to deliver customer orders. While the reopening of this major highway will provide us with greater ability to transport shipments throughout the province, we expect congestion, along with limited carrier equipment availability and weather-related road conditions, such as snow, to contribute to ongoing delays. We currently expect delays of up to one week from the scheduled time of delivery for products sourced from the LDB’s Delta Distribution Centre (DDC) for customers serviced by KDC, however delivery delays may vary depending on your store’s delivery schedule.
While transportation disruptions are ongoing, we are continuing to take steps to mitigate the impacts of these challenges on our customers and continue to work with our vendors and freight carriers to ensure shipments are delivered as quickly as possible.
The KDC has regular inventory levels to supply customers in the region, however customers may experience temporary service delays and limited product availability as a result of the ongoing transportation disruptions.
Delta Distribution Centre (DDC) customers
The DDC currently has regular inventory levels to supply customers in the region, but customers may experience limited product availability due to disrupted transportation routes. There are currently no delays for DDC serviced customers.
