LDB Partners, Please be aware that the BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is upgrading its enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, in an effort to support the modernization of its business. As part of this upgrade, and in response to customer feedback, enhancements will be made to the LDB Web Store, customer reporting and the Customer Return Guidelines.
These changes are scheduled to take effect on Monday, September 25, and aim to provide a better experience for our customers. In order to make these changes, LDB Wholesale and Vancouver and Kamloops Distribution Centres will experience a blackout period from Friday, September 22 through Sunday, September 24, 2017. During this time, no wholesale orders can be placed or processed through LDB Web Store or directly through the LDB Wholesale Customer Centre (WCC) via telephone or email.
As the blackout period will impact wholesale customer ordering from the LDB, we strongly encourage wholesale customers to review the following material:
- The ‘LDB Web Store – Important Changes For Our Customers’ outlines the enhancements Web Store customers will experience starting September 25. Some of these updates include increased search capabilities, a new product catalogue, enhanced order features and improved reports. We are also very excited to be providing inventory visibility through Web Store.
- The ‘LDB DC Blackout Period – How Wholesale Customers Can Prepare’ details the impacts of the LDB Wholesale and DC blackout period, including specific dates, timing and instructions on how wholesale customers can prepare.
Please note – any customers whose ordering will be impacted by the blackout period will be contacted, via telephone, by the WCC, to advise of changes to their Warehouse Release Time and Shipping Schedule.
