We are pleased to share with you that the LDB will accept registration of kegged ready to drink refreshment beverages over 20 litres starting Friday, March 13th. (Vendor Website Registration)
The retail mark-up for this category will be 15% and will be effective from April 1st 2020. The retail markup on kegged cider products will remain unchanged.
This initiative is in response to industry demand for a more convenient container format that will make it easier and more efficient for hospitality customers to stock these popular products.
Breweries, commercial distilleries, and wineries will now be permitted to direct sell and deliver kegged ready to drink refreshment beverages to their wholesale customers. Keg sizes will not be limited in terms of maximum or minimum size, in order that suppliers can meet customers’ specific needs and requirements. Vendors will be responsible for the collection of empty kegs.
Sales agreements will be revised for the following manufacturers to outline new regulations and revise reporting requirements:
- commercial wineries,
- breweries
- commercial distilleries
